From strength to stillness, from fluidity to force, every class is designed to inspire your most intentional movement. Through community, consistency, and connection, we teach to possibility — for all.
Here are 5 invitations to cultivate balance:
1️⃣ Reduce or avoid coffee, alcohol and spicy foods as they can aggravate the Liver thus worsening overall irritability and restlessness that most of us experience during this seasonal transition.
2️⃣ Drink herbal teas such as Chrysanthemum, Chamomile, Dandelion and Nettle Leaf to nourish the Liver.
3️⃣ Be more active - exercise daily to keep the Liver Qi moving smoothly. Yoga, Qi Gong and martial arts are especially helpful as the connection to breathing with these types of exercises helps strengthen the Lungs and open the diaphragm to further help prevent energy stagnation.
4️⃣ Get Acupuncture treatment to help balance and move the stagnation that can stir up irritability and anger.
5️⃣Eat a balancing food complete with well cooked vegetables and warmth.
TCM elemental theory is where we rooted our Studio. These systems become active both within us and in nature, it's important to balance their energy so we can flourish throughout the changing seasons.
What tips do you have for transitioning the seasons with balance? Drop a thought below...

Giving Thanks; with a warm heart and a full breath. 😊
At a time when many people have seen better times, it's easy to look at a day called “Thanksgiving” and scoff:
What do I have to be thankful for? 😠
Well, a lot, actually. 😮
For years, people have misunderstood gratitude. I thought it was about feeling grateful for the gifts around me. But when I didn't feel I had anything to be grateful for, I wondered what was wrong with me.
Go be grateful warrior! 🙏
If you're up for a little challenge, do something different today. When most people are looking for someone to blame for their current state of affairs, don't sit around waiting for gratitude to come.
Instead, give thanks.
Without prompting or pushing, find something to be thankful for. Speak it, and believe it, then watch that gratitude muscle grow.
Just to get the energy rolling here, we will list 10 things we are grateful for as a team at MOOV.
1. The health of our community, teachers and new MOOV team members.
2. We are grateful for the opportunity to grow stringer roots before we open fully.
3. We are grateful for the gift and skill of facilitators in Vancouver to guide us through natural way of preserving the human system.
4. We are extremely thankful for our Online community.
5. We are thankful to have landed in a city that is full of creative minds and concious movement opportunities.
6. We are thankful for doing work that Matters.
7. We are thankful for music — artists like like Sade, Frank Sinatra and Beautiful Chorus and Nu. Their words and beats inspire to create movement for all.
8. We are thankful for documentaries and movies— for being able to turn part of my brain off and learn in stillness and still me inspired.
9. We are thankful for books — eBooks, audiobooks, children's books, novels, and memoirs. We're sure your shelves are full of them.
10. Lastly, and most importantly, we are thankful for connection — for love that cannot be explained (only surrendered to), for a Creator that inspires creativity, and for purpose and a hope that there is more to the story than we see.
Breathe in.... Breathe out....
Have a beautiful weekend 💕
We are grateful for @yogawithsamane adding 2 classes to her MOOV Schedule.
Since we’re in this season of gratitude we wanted to share one thing we are grateful for and reflect on this too. It’s phenomenal what a gratitude practice can do for our days but even if it’s sporadic, it’s super helpful for nourishing the mind with optimal soil 🌱
What’s one thing you’re grateful for today?

Elements of Metal. The lungs and large intestines are the organs associated with the metal element. Metal governs our respiration; the lungs “grasp” Chi from the heavens and draw it inward for our body to use. It also affects our immune system that protects us from pathogens in the air. The lung meridian opens into the nose, which is the doorway into the lungs.
Balanced metal allows for healthy boundaries, an easy routine, and inspiring rituals, whereas too little metal will lead to sloppiness and numbness. When metal becomes overbearing we will have difficulty with expressing ourselves, with intimacy and spontaneity. This can also result in issues with the respiratory system, the skin, elimination, and with the lymphatic and immune system.
This Monday @ashleylevii will be facilitating a YIN class focusing on the breath, lung 🫁 and large intestine meridian.
90 min YIN (Monday 730-800pm)
Returning to the art of slow whenever you feel rushed or scattered. 🤯
As soon as you notice that you are lost in the busyness of the day or your life, stop.
Simply pause, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you can choose slow. Take 6 breaths with your exhales longer than your inhales and accentuate the pause between inflow and outflow.
Speed and busyness are overrated. If we could put less value on the amount of things we get done and more value on how we treat people, including ourselves, perhaps we can move through. The next moment will come on its own time.

Our logo means Wood; we root in the knowledge of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and pull many wisdoms from world philosophies.
Which one surprised you the most? (Share something about you, what makes you, feel you?)
In Chinese philosophy, wood (Chinese: 木; mù), sometimes translated as Tree, is the growing of the matter, or the matter's growing stage.
Wood is the first phase of Wu Xing. Wood is the lesser yang character of the Five elements, giving birth to Fire.
